    I like them both. With this, the figure gives a sense of scale, and there a lot of repeating shapes with the flow of the water out the bottom, the shape of the falls and the patch of sunlight up top. Also, I like the feel of the squarer crop.

    Thanks for the comments Mike. Believe it or not, that figure is Harry S on a trip we too together to several upstate NY waterfalls. As always, when I get to these places, I work them to death. While I like this composition I didn't like the fact that I couldn't safely get into a position to clear the lower water path from the gorge walls. I believe I did get a better opportunity in the second composition even though it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to get there without killing myself. Oh what we do for our craft!
